| Scale The Rock River West Climbing Center invites you to share in the experience and thrill of rock climbing! The walls are made up of a mixture of permanent and movable holds. This allows us to change routes in order to continue to challenge our climbers. The climbing wall is approximately 2,000 square feet with 18' high ceilings. One room is specifically designed for overhang climbing along with an overhand in the lead wall. A solid foundation of rock climbing skills are taught to beginners and experienced climbers. Safety, terminology, and use of gear will be discussed by our climbing instructors. Basic movement techniques will also be taught as you practice your climbing skills. Children and adults can enjoy and learn the challenging sport of rock climbing at River West climbing Center. Climb for your next PARTY!! Scout Groups, Youth Groups, Business Groups, etc.-What fun for your special group! A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people is required. Participants must be at least 6 years old. Group parties are 2 hours in length and include use of equipment and climbing instruction. Birthday Parties-What excitement for the special birthday girl or boy! First we instruct you and your guests in the art of climbing. Then it's climbing games, laughter, and more climbing. All climbers will receive a free pass for another adventure. River West Climbing Center What do I need? Enthusiasm and a Need for Excitement! Also be sure to wear comfortable clothing such as shorts, or sweatpants, gym shoes and a t-shirt. Use of equipment is provided. Private Lessons: $18 per hour This includes basic instruction on terminology, training and safety, climbing, and use of equipment. Group Lessons: $55 per hour This includes four 45 minute group lessons for 4 consecutive weeks. A group consists of 3 to 5 people. OPEN CLIMB Open climb is FREE for kids ages 6 to 13 on Monday nights from 5-8pm. Parents must accompany the child and sign a waiver before climbing.
